Storm preparedness checklist

Pre-Storm Assessment occurs in the event of a severe weather incident (Hurricanes, Tropical Storms, Flooding, Tornadoes etc.). This assessment includes a full home watch service visit (below) and storm preparation, including but not limited to (identifying dead branches, cracks in windows, loose roof tiles that are noticeable, as well as securing all small/loose items outside). Assured Estates recognizes a severe weather event as a Tropical Storm or Hurricane. According to the National Weather Service, a Tropical Storm is classified as a storm with sustained winds of 39 to 73 mph. A Hurricane is any weather system with sustained winds of 74 mph or greater.

Home Security and Safety 

• Securing doors and windows, alarm systems, full smoke detector check

Home Inspection 

• Mold, mildew, odor, water damage, pest checks

Water Cycling 

• Toilets, faucets, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, appliance checks

HVAC System 

• Proper function checks and filter replacement services

Check Circuit Breakers

• Checking for tripped switches

Pool and Lanai Inspection 

• Water level, equipment leaks

Mail and Parcel Services 

• Retrieve, dispose, or forwarding services to primary residence, depending on customer preference

Landscaping Inspection

• Front/side walkways, and backyard checks

Contractor Concierge 

• Scheduling private appointments with contractors, overseeing service

Vehicle Inspection 

• Ignition, battery, tire checks, trickle charger installation and more
